Sarah Palin is alive and kicking. What a funny SNL video! To bad it’s not March – then we could throw a big Alaskan “Best Man Wins” party in the 1000 mile strenuous Iditarod Trail Sled dog race which begins in Anchorage and Wasilla. The youngest candidates (no discrimination – either vp or president) would be the mushers – otherwise both Joe Biden and John McCain might be meeting their Maker sooner rather than later. This race tests the toughness and pioneer spirit of the mushers. So it would be Musher Sarah with her frenzied dog sled team and Musher Obama with his eager to win dog team.

In last night’s debate with Biden, she wore a stylish black suit and red high heels. You go girl go! Obviously, the two disagree but it was also obvious that Biden found her charming and politically savvy as well as knowledgeable when left alone to speak her piece without the Republican handlers telling her what to say and how to say it – a formula for disaster as witnessed in this Katie Couric video. It was also obvious that she respects his bona fidies. What they both have in common is two kids in the war. It was an enjoyable debate because it was lacking in the usual vitriol.

Is there a similarity between Miss Teen USA, Joe Biden and Sarah Palin? See this hysterical video. Miss Teen USA did answer the serious question, “Why are Americans unable to locate the United States on a map?” OK OK! so she almost choked and fumbled a little – but she did know enough about other countries to mention B’Iraq (I think she meant she’d like to be in Iraq) and South Africa. I give her a heads up because her heart was in the right place and hey – doesn’t that count for something? Honestly, what a sweet girl. She could have been mean and said something like, “Because lots of kids can’t read or write because it’s no fun!” No, I’m convinced the panel was mean spirited – like why didn’t they just ask her the standard question like “Are you for world peace?” It’s just not fair that the deck was stacked and the winner was Miss Teen Colorado who was asked the really tough question, “Who do you like best…Lindsey Lohan, Nicolle Richie or Paris Hilton?” She won.

So tonight the big debate is on with Sarah Palin vs Joe Biden…I say give them both fair questions and don’t stack the deck as with poor Lauren Caitlin Upton.
