Two more bite the dust on American Idol – Jasmine Murray and Jorge Nunez. Murray was dumped because she didn’t have enough ‘attitude’ and Nunez went south because the song he sang, “Never can say goodbye” depressed the judges.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090312/ap_on_en_tv/tv_american_idol;_ylt=A0LEUGriBLlJvp8AXnHXn414 I
Pulling my husband away from a History channel rerun to watch ‘American Idol’ puts him in such a state of hypo-tension that he almost goes into a coma. So, I checked out the Idol vids and was rather impressed with Adam Lambert singing Michael Jackson’s song, “Black and White.” For sure, he’s got ‘attitude’ and that quality pop performers have today called, ‘LOOK AT ME CAUSE I’M SO GREAT I COULD TAKE MYSELF HOME.” To be fair, without that driving ego and ambition, they could all wind up as Wal*Mart greeters. No matter how great the talent – the competition being so fierce in every facet of show biz. Adam Lambert, as well as the remaining 10, are already winners due to the media exposure. nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/03/american_idol_losers_to_be_hum.html So life goes on and two more bite the dust on American Idol. Earthlings bite their fingernails, toenails and the dog’s chewy toys, as they eagerly anticipate who will win the big prize. Frankly, I’d idolize anyone who could rally this country into smiling again. Now that would be a true Idol…a leader who could put a little bounce in this nation’s gait and sparkle in the eyes. Maybe that’s why Idol has such high ratings…it’s takes the mind away from the woe-is-me media.
For myself, I’m digging in on getting my life back by limiting myself to only one expletive when I watch the evening news. This morning I went for a ride, came back, showered, made breakfast, hugged my Sweetie until his eyes almost popped out of his head …then off to work I went – feeling good about myself because I’m on this side of the sod and not under it.
There’s a herd of white tail deer behind our place that are mesmerizing to view. They practice the oneness of nature’s harmony and ever so gracefully scale the fence. This morning, when the dew was still nestled on the leaves of grass, one young deer wouldn’t make the jump…however, another deer held back and stood there patiently waiting and, no doubt thinking, “Man! just do it!.” It was a struggle but finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the young deer made up it’s mind to do it and over he went. Sometimes, it’s as easy as that.

Deep thought for the day by George Carlin: I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, “Where’s the self-help section?” She said if if she told me, it would defeat the purpose.
